Welcome to Cornerstone Baptist Church
A Place for Friendship. Nothing quite
compares to the joy of Christian fellowship. That's why we make it a priority to build lasting
bonds between the members of our church family - bonds of concern and genuine commitment to one
another.
A Place for Learning. To us, studying the Bible
is vital because it not only instructs us intellectually, but also guides us spiritually. We believe it and accept it
as God's Word to us, a Book that is alive and relevant to life today. Learning its truths is a thrilling adventure.
A Place for Enrichment. For every person at every age
level we offer a wealth of opportunities - special programs and ministries for children, youth and adults which fill the
church calendar. You can be sure that in this kaleidoscope of activities there's more than one place where you can be
personally enriched.
A Place for Service. Just as Jesus came "not to be
ministered unto, but to minister..." we accept our responsibility to reach out in service to others. This applies both within
the church family and outside our fellowship.
A Place for Worship. The primary reason we meet together
is to focus our attention on God, giving Him our worship and receiving His blessing and inspiration. Each of these occasions is
a special time of spiritual refreshment. We hope this is what you experience if you visit with us.
What's Happening
Full Schedule Ahead
The school year is quickly winding down as graduations and
summer vacation approach. However, this is not a time for God's people to quit on His
Work. The summer brings exciting ministry opportunities and new areas for service.
On Saturday, May 31st, we will be having another Church-wide visitation breakfast. Meet at
the church at 9:00am for breakfast and then participate in going on door-to-door visiting
to ask others to come to church. Also don't forget our nursing home ministries and
the 'Labor of Love' ministry.
Awards Nights
The end of the school year brings an end to the youth programs for Awana and
Kid's choir. The Awana program will be having their award ceremony on May 18th, at 6:00pm. Come
out and encourage the young people for what they have been able to accomplish this year. There
is always a lot of effort put in to memorize God's word.
Additionally, the Kid's choir will be having their awards service May 25th at
6:00pm. It is always fun to see what special awards the leaders have come up with for this
seasons Kid's choir members. Come and give them a big hand! It's also a great time to say thanks
to the great work our teachers and helpers have done in both programs.
Summer Highlights
Graduations and open houses will fill the schedule from now through
June. Make sure to check with the Teen page for an updated schedule as we are provided
with the information. In addition, the teens will be going to Cedar Point on June 17th. See brother
Sean for details.
The month of June will also have some special Church-wide events beginning with
our Tim Lee revival June 22-25. Come see a Vietnam veteran who lost his legs but found a calling
in proclaiming God's Word. You won't want to miss this dynamic speaker! Last but not least,
June 29th is our annual Church picnic on the grounds. This is a great day of fellowship, food and fun with our
Church family - everyone is invited!
As always make sure to check out the
calendar for the latest scheduled events.
