Confusion and Inconsistency surround our society’s principles on life. We weep, and rightfully so, over the lives of children murdered in the massacre in Connecticut. We stand appalled at an individual who could take innocent lives in a movie theater in Colorado. We build memorials in New York City, Pennsylvania, and Washington DC to commemorate the lives that were stolen away in the terrorist attacks of September 11. But illogically, our nation will vehemently defend, fund, and promote the murdering of the most innocent and precious of all lives… the lives of the unborn.
How confused and inconsistent our policies are! We parade children in front of the media at the signing of gun law legislation with the impression that we are doing this great thing for the protection of a child. All the while, we are empowering doctors, planned parenthood, abortion clinics, and hospitals with legislation to murder the very children that we are promising to “protect”.
How? How could a civilized society under the “rights of a woman” support the destruction of such a tiny and beautiful life? There is nothing more precious in this world than that of a baby whether in or out of the womb. My mind cannot fathom how we could barbarically massacre the lives of millions of unborn children. For our nation’s policies to be clear and consistent, we must not only protect the lives of the born, but of the unborn as well. The God of the Bible is clear and consistent in His stand on life. May God turn our hearts back again to a Biblical stance on life!
“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5
