PurposeOur Purpose

Our intentional and deliberate purpose that we, as a church family, strive to fulfill is:  Worshipping God, Reaching People, and Serving Others.  Through this 3-fold purpose, we can see the message of Acts 1:8 lived out through us – “…and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Our Beliefs

At Cornerstone, we believe the Bible to be God’s Word directly to us.  We hold doctrine and teaching very close to our hearts and everything that is taught in every class and preached in our worship services flows directly from God’s Word.

A summary of our basic doctrinal beliefs are:

God, The Father

God the Father is the supreme ruler of the universe.

Jesus Christ

God the Son is the Savior of the world. He was born of the virgin Mary, died on the cross, and arose bodily from the grave.

The Holy Spirit

God the Holy Spirit is the manifest presence of deity. He convicts of sin, teaches spiritual truths according to the written Word, and permanently indwells believers.

The Bible, God’s Word

The Scriptures are God’s inerrant revelation, complete in the Old and New Testaments.

The Scriptures provide the standard for the believer’s faith and practice. We use the KJV as the standard.

Creation

God created all things for His own pleasure and glory, as revealed in the biblical account of creation in Genesis 1.

Sin and Salvation

Although man was created in the image of God, he fell through sin and that image was marred, and lacks any power to save himself.

Salvation is the gracious work of God whereby He delivers undeserving sinners from sin and its results.

Salvation is based wholly on the grace of God apart from work. Anyone who will exercise repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved.

Eternal Security

All believers are eternally secure in Jesus Christ.

The Local New Testament Church

A New Testament church is a local congregation of baptized believers in Jesus Christ who are united by covenant in belief of what God has revealed and in obedience to what He has commanded. Her two ordinances are baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

The Last Days

Our risen Lord will return personally in bodily form to receive His redeemed unto Himself. His return is imminent.

We believe in the premillennial return of Christ to earth, after which He shall reign in peace upon the earth for a thousand years.

We believe the Scriptures to teach two resurrections: the first of the righteous at Christ’s coming; the second of the wicked at the close of the thousand-year reign.

Please lift my husband Steve up in prayer, he has left our family and is feeding his addictions. Please pray his eyes are opened to the sin and the hurt it causes and that he will remember the Lord and call upon him and he will submit to Jesus and open the lines of communication with his family adn we may be able to restore our family to a Christ centered home filled with the love of Jesus . Please pray for my son Chandler who is struggling with addiction and anger. If you would pray for myself and my daughters to be protected during this spiritual warfare and for my oldest son Justin to be looked upon with favor at his place of employment and get a permanent position.
    thank you

      Jennifer,
Continue building storehouses of Prayer for your family. In the Old Testament a servant said to his master, we’re surrounded by enemy soldiers, His masters reply, Lord open my servants eyes that he might see: this is true in the spiritual warfare of today, we can’t see the help working with us, their there.. Every moment you are overwhelmed, cry out to Jesus. Be strengthened in fellowship and kneading Gods Word daily into you and your families hearts. In my prayers…
