2 Timothy 3:14a “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of…”
Although revival times can be physically exhausting, they are spiritually refreshing. It was invigorating this past week to see 10 people saved, and full altars with many decisions for Christ being made. The clear and powerful sermons from the Word of God, and the church house frequented each night by many was equally reenergizing and rejuvenating.
But all too often, that burst of energy and that refreshed spirit seems to fade quickly, reintroducing us to the spiritual doldrums that we once found ourselves in. Can the refreshing spirit of revival be sustained? Although it is impossible to keep up the physical pace of revival services, the spirit of revival can and should be sustained.
Sustaining the spirit and work of revival is accomplished when we continue to thoroughly listen and respond to the proclaimed Word of God, to passionately reach out to a lost and dying world with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to faithfully attend His house. Let us be found doing our part to continue the spirit of revival that has been reignited this week. Let us desire to see God continue to do a great work in and through Cornerstone!
